Hold | This song I had to sit down with, but you should know the cool little fact that "this song just came out." One of those midnight then waking up early to write kind of songs- to being unsure about the lyrics for the remainder of the time.
This song is "that" song for me. What i mean by "that" is:
Every musician kinda has the song that they are not necessarily proud of but stoked about. The song came about through relationships with other. And no...not the "mason you have a girlfriend?" but more so the relationships with straight-up friends.
This is a song i try to live by. From the lyrical side of both parties. 1. being the recipient 2. being the one talking. I've literally taken even my "own words for granted" and how really that line is a challenge; even though it is stated as an accusation.
I hope you can love this song like I do. Scream/sing that last chorus becuase it's what I do. :)
lyrics
Intro:
Ooh Ooh Ahhhh Ahhhh
Verse:
My story doesn’t stop, The light that we held for so long
Why is it ceasing
Memories of good, Talking through the late night
Forgot about breathing
PreChorus:
Oooh Ooh oh oh, Ooh ooh oh oh
My desire is still longing
Chorus:
You’re the one i want to hold
Please be the one I want to hold
Verse 2:
Its just a question, Take my words for granted
I hate the all tension
You cover up you’re sadness, I’ve expressed it all towards you
Did I forget to mention
